Folders allow you to group relevant expenses and mileages and submit them all at once. Folders can be submitted from the web app and the mobile app.

Using the web app

Creating and renaming a folder

To create a folder on the Circula web app, go to Your Expenses section:

  • In To-Dos, click on the green plus button, and select "Add folder"
  • Once the folder is created, it appears in the To-Dos section. You can now add expenses and mileages to it.

By default, the name of a folder is New folder. To edit a folder's name, click on "Edit name".

Adding expenses to a folder and submitting

To add relevant expenses and mileages to a folder:

  • Click on the folder to open the detailed view
  • Click on "Add expense" to add an expense or a mileage. The process is same as for regular expenses and mileages.
  • Once you've added all items to the folder, press "Submit".

Enter the folder details and start adding expenses by clicking on "Add expenses" to complete the process

📝Note: you can move draft expenses and mileages to a folder:

  • Select the expense or mileage to open its detailed view
  • Click on the three dots in the lower left corner
  • Select "Move to", and choose your folder.

To move an expense to a folder, simply select "Move to", then the name of the folder

Using the mobile app

Creating and renaming a folder

To create a folder on the Circula mobile app, tap the green plus button:

  • Select “Add folder
  • Once the folder is created, it appears in the To-Dos section. You can now add expenses and mileages to it.

By default, the name of a folder is New folder. To edit a folder’s name, click on the pen icon.

To edit a folder’s name, click on the Folder, then the “pen icon”, and then “Save”.

Adding expenses to a folder and submitting

To add relevant expenses and mileages to a folder: 

  • Click on the folder
  • Click on the purple plus button to add an expense or a mileage. The process is the same as for regular expenses and mileages.
  • Once you've added all items to the folder, press "Submit Folder"

Click on the purple button to submit a new expense in a Folder.

📝Note: you can move add draft expenses and mileages to a folder:

  • Select the expense or mileage to open its detailed view
  • Click on the three dots in the top right corner
  • Select “Move to”, and choose your folder.

To move an Expense to a folder, select the Expense, then click on the three dots, and select “Move To”
