With the integration with Lanes & Planes, trips booked via Lanes & Planes are automatically created as drafts in Circula.
A condition for the integration is that the traveler has an account with the same email address on both Lanes & Planes and Circula.

Overview
The automatic creation of a trip draft in Circula through the integration with Lanes & Planes eliminates the need to manually create the trip. Relevant travel data is transferred directly, reducing administrative effort and ensuring consistent documentation of the trip.
For the integration, the traveler must have an account on both platforms. In Circula, the trip is always assigned to the traveler, regardless of whether the booking was made by another person via Lanes & Planes.
Travel arrangements (bus, train, flight, hotel) are transferred to Circula approximately 5 to 10 minutes after booking.
How do I create a trip with Lanes & Planes?
Log in to Lanes & Planes and enter your travel details.
Select one of the following options:
All-in-one (transportation with/without accommodation)
Hotel only (accommodation only)
Rental car
Note: Currently, bookings under “Rental car” are not supported by the integration.
You can add other people from your company by clicking on the +.
Please note: The integration only creates one trip in Circula for the person listed as the main traveler.
After booking your trip, you will receive all tickets and cost coverage details by email. You can find more information about booking trips via Lanes & Planes here.
After completing the booking, it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the trip to appear as a draft in Circula. This delay occurs because Lanes & Planes waits for internal processes to complete and only then transmits the final trip to Circula in order to avoid transferring updated events. The following information is transferred:

Description
Once you have started your trip, you can add additional expenses and mileages to the trip. It makes no difference whether you are editing a draft created by the integration or a manually created draft. You can find more information about submitting a trip here.
Important
No invoices or receipts for bookings are sent to Circula via the Lanes & Planes integration.
Only a trip draft with the relevant travel dates is created.
Invoices and receipts must still be added to the trip manually.
Note
All customizations and settings stored for trips in your company account will also be applied to draft trips created via the Lanes & Planes integration.
Tip
If you make changes to the trip in Lanes & Planes or delete the trip, these changes will also be transmitted to Circula. The trip draft will be updated accordingly.
Note
Regardless of the actual flight or travel times, the following times are stored in Circula by default in the draft trip:
Start time: 12:00 p.m.
End time: 6:00 p.m.
You can adjust these times manually.
Important
If travelers book flights and hotels separately for the same period, the integration interprets each booking as a separate trip and thus creates two trip drafts.
To avoid duplicates, we recommend booking transportation and hotels using the “All-In-One” option whenever possible.
Current limitations of integration
Please consider the following points before activating the integration:
Multi-Entity-Setup:
The integration cannot be used if there is a multi-entity setup in Circula.
Currently, only a connection between the main entity in Circula and the company account at Lanes & Planes is supported.

Multi-Pax Bookings
The integration only creates one trip in Circula for the person listed as the main traveler.
Multi-Stop Bookings
For trips with multiple stopovers, only the start and end dates of the entire trip are transmitted and used in the trip draft.
Example:
You book a trip from:
Berlin to Munich (departure January 1, 2026)
then on to Hamburg (departure January 3, 2026)
and finally back to Berlin (arrival January 5, 2026)
In Circula, a trip is created with the following dates:
Start: January 1, 2026
End: January 5, 2026
Route: Berlin to Munich
Cost centers and cost units
Cost centers and cost units selected during the Lanes & Planes booking are not transferred to Circula. These must be adjusted manually in the draft.
Rental Cars
Car rental bookings are not transferred to Circula.
