At a glance

  • With the Personio Multi-Integration, different Personio sub-companies can be connected to different Circula entities.

  • To do this, certain pre-settings must be configured on Personio. In the second step, the respective entities must be connected on Circula.

  • You must have admin rights in Personio and Circula to be able to set this up.

Preset in Personio

In order to set up or configure the Personio API, you must first make a few settings in the Personio app. As the second step, you need to connect the Circula Entities.

Setup in Personio

  1. In Personio, navigate to "Settings".

  2. Now click on "API access data" under "Integrations".

After the successful configuration on Personio, you can now start with the settings and connections on Circula.

Setup in Circula

Important

  • The steps listed below must be carried out individually in all Circula entities. It is not sufficient to perform the steps only in your main Circula entity.

  • The same Client ID and the same Client Secret apply to every Circula entity.

  1. Click on "Integrations" and navigate to "Personio".

  2. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret and click on "Connect".

  3. Once the initial connection is made, a search is conducted in Personio to see if your company has sub-companies. As this may take a few minutes, a loading screen will be shown whilst this happens.

  4. The sub-companies will then be shown in the drop-down menu. You must then select the sub-company (s) that you wish to import the users from and click "Connect". If there are no sub-companies in Personio, the drop-down menu will be deactivated.

    Choosing the sub-company

  5. Once the user selects the sub-company and clicks “Connect”, a pop-up will appear to confirm which users will be imported. If no sub-companies are selected or sub-companies do not exist, all users in Personio will be imported.

  6. After the users were invited, you will be asked to map the attributes. More information on mapping the attributes can be found here.

Disabling the integration

If you would like to disable the integration, click on the three dots under "Personio" and click on "Disable Integration".

Note

  • Disabling the sync means that the users will not be synced. The connection to Personio remains.

Enabling the integration

If you would like to re-enable the integration, click on the three dots under "Personio" and click on "Enable Integration".

Note

  • Admins have the option to add or remove sub-companies at a later time.

  • This can be done by returning to the drop-down, adding/removing additional sub-companies and saving the changes using the “Save changes” button.

  • Please note that in this case, changes made to the sub-company attribute in Personio will not be reflected in Circula until after the nightly sync has taken place.
