Before the first credit card can be issued to a user, a valid mobile phone number must be entered and verified by the user.
This number is used for identity verification in some important actions.
The mobile phone number can be saved in the Circula app in the “Credit cards” tab.
Before the first credit card can be issued to you, you must provide and verify a valid mobile phone number for security reasons.
This number will be used to verify your identity when important credit card related actions are performed, such as:
Viewing details of the credit card
Viewing PIN
Changing the mobile phone number in Circula
Adding a new mobile phone number
To enter your valid mobile phone number, navigate to the “Credit cards” tab in the Circula mobile or web app.
Click on the yellow “Add phone number” button
Enter your mobile phone number (e.g.: +49 170 1234567) and then click on the "Send SMS code" button in the mobile app or the yellow “Continue” button in the web app. A 6-digit code will now be sent to your mobile phone by SMS.
Enter the correct SMS code. Your code will be verified shortly.
Your mobile phone number is now saved and verified.
Changing your saved mobile phone number
If you change your mobile phone number, you can change your new phone number in Circula.
There are two ways to change your mobile phone number as a cardholder.
Changing your mobile phone number yourself
If you still have access to the mobile phone number that was used to set up your credit card, you can change the number yourself.
To do this, navigate to “Phone number” in the “Settings” in the mobile app or to the “Credit cards” tab in the “Account settings” in the web app.
Click on the “Update number” button in the mobile app or the "Change number" button in the web app. A 6-digit code will now be sent to your old cell phone number by SMS.
Enter the correct SMS code. Your code will be verified shortly.
Enter your new mobile phone number (e.g.: +49 170 1234567) and then click on the "Send SMS code" button in the mobile app or the yellow “Continue” button in the web app. A 6-digit code will now be sent to your mobile phone by SMS.
Enter the correct SMS code. Your code will be verified shortly.
Resetting the mobile phone number by the admin
If you no longer have access to the mobile phone number that was used to set up your credit card, you can ask a credit card admin to reset your mobile phone number.
You can then add a new phone number in Circula by following the steps in the “Adding a new mobile phone number” section.
