With the setup of Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On you can log in to Circula without a password.
To activate the setup, you must first contact our support team and then follow the steps below.
The following article walks you step by step through setting up Microsoft Entra ID with your Circula account. Microsoft Entra ID (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) provides the ability to log in via Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML 2.0.
If you want to enable Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On for your employees, you can do part of the setup yourself. To do this, please contact our Support Team first. You will receive a so-called "company_identifier" from us as soon as possible, which you can then use to start the setup.
The Setup
To begin the setup navigate to the Microsoft Entra home screen, find and click on the right option to get started.
Adding Circula as a new application
In the Microsoft Entra ID menu, add Circula as a new application:
Click on "Enterprise applications"
Then click on "New applications"
Select "Non-gallery application".
A side window will open. Now give the new application a name.
Tip
We suggest that you simply name the new application "Circula" or "Circula-App".
Click Add to confirm.
Naming the App in Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft Entra ID will begin creating the new Circula application.
Setting up SAML and creating the XML File
After the the new app is created in Microsoft Entra ID, you will be redirected to the view of the application.
Click on "2. Set up single sign-on".
Click on "SAML".
This will open the following window: "Set up Single Sign-On with SAML", where you can configure the integration.
Click on the "Edit" button of the first section "Basic SAML Configuration" to open the left window.
Enter (on the right side of your screen) the following information:
Identifier(Entity-ID): https://auth.circula.com/saml
Reply URL: https://auth.circula.com/callback/company_identifier
❗️Note that the "company_identifier" is provided to you in advance during the Circula setup phase.
Click on "Save" to confirm the changes.
Click on "Download Federation Metadata XML".
Send the downloaded file to your contact at Circula. We will complete the integration for you as soon as possible.
Adding Users
Once the integration process is complete, you can now add users to Circula.
To add users, navigate to the "Users and Groups" section.
Click on "Add users" and follow the instructions of your system.
Important
Please note, in order for Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On to function smoothly long term, customers must log directly in to Microsoft Entra every 90 days.
